The 2021 Benelli 302R has been unveiled for the Asian markets. The latest iteration of the entry-level fully-faired motorcycle features significant cosmetic and mechanical changes, making it an extremely attractive offering.
This includes a revamped design, now featuring a vertically stacked LED headlamp unit at the front. This is flanked on either side by LED DRLs which also double-up as turn indicators. The rear has also been tweaked and now features an LED tail lamp.
The 2021 Benelli 302R now comes with a fully-coloured digital instrument cluster, offering a host of information to the rider. Benelli has also reworked the switchgear on the clip-on handlebars, which are now backlit.
It continues to feature upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock setup at the rear. Braking is handled by discs at both ends, with the front featuring a dual-disc setup. The brakes are further supported by dual-channel ABS as standard.
The new 302R is now powered by an updated version of the same 300cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, compliant with the latest emission norms. It produces 34 BHP and 27 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a six-speed transmission.
It will also make its way to India soon. Once launched, it will take on the likes of the TVS Apache RR310, KTM RC390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
