2024 Hongqi H6 was launched in Chinese market, a total of five trims were launched with a price range of CNY 179,800 - 239,800 (US$ 24,800 - 33,000).
As a facelift model, the appearance and powertrain remain unchanged, the major changes are in the vehicle configurations and a new entry-level trim has been added.
Positioned as a medium-sized sedan, the 2024 Hongqi H6 measures 4990 mm length, 1880 mm width, 1455 mm height with a 2920 mm wheelbase.
The car runs on 225/50 R18 tyres and optional red Brembo callipers. A sliding sunroof is also present.
In the front, a large grille with matrix elements dominates. The narrow vertical and luminous Hongqi logo is eye-catching and highly recognisable at night. At the same time, the rear has an electric tailgate, through-type taillights, a slightly upturned ducktail spoiler, and a centre-mounted dual exhaust outlet system.
Inside, the two-tone cockpit layout remains unchanged with a 12.6-inch central control screen, a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.
As for the configuration, the entire series has been upgraded to the Hongqi 3.0 Plus intelligent network system that supports functionalities including voice control & recognition and customised navigation. An optional advanced driving assistance package is now also available.
Furthermore, the entire series comes standard with 253-colour ambient lights, tire pressure monitoring, front and rear parking radars, cruise control, keyless entry, one-button start, front head & side airbags, heated external mirrors, and integrated sports seats.
The top-end trim comes additionally with a heated steering wheel made of carbon fibre & leather & suede materials, a 10.98-inch W-HUD, a 12-speaker Dynaudio audio system, driver seat massaging & rear seat heating functions, and a cabin fragrance system. The standard trunk volume is 592 L.
H6 is still powered by a front 2.0T engine and mated to an 8-speed automatic. The 2.0T engine is offered in high- and low-power versions. The low-power engine has a maximum power of 165 kW (221 PS) and a peak torque of 340 Nm, a 0 - 100 km/h acceleration time of 7.8 seconds, and a fuel consumption of 6.5L/100km.
The high-power engine outputs 185 kW (248 PS) and 380 Nm, has a 0 - 100 km/h acceleration time of 6.8 seconds, and fuel consumptions of 6.55-litre / 100km and 6.8-litre / 100km. The top speed is 230 km/h.
