Andalan Motor opens Hyundai Sholeh Iskandar dealer on Jl. Sholeh Iskandar No. 8, Cibadak, Tanah Cereal, Bogor City, West Java. This is Andalan Motor's sixth Hyundai dealership opened this year. Andalan Motor previously opened the Hyundai City Store (Pondok Indah Mall 3), Hyundai Pancoran (South Jakarta), Hyundai Sawah Besar (Central Jakarta), and Hyundai Leuwipanjang (Bandung).
Andalan Motor's Managing Director, Raynaldi Setiawan explained that Andalan Motor will continue to add Hyundai dealerships, along with the bright prospects for the South Korean (South Korean) car manufacturer's market in Indonesia.
"Hyundai Sholeh Iskandar carries the 3S concept of sales, service, spare parts. The area of this dealer is 1,700 square metres and is Hyundai's second dealer in Bogor City," he said as quoted in an official broadcast on Friday (11/26). There are five service bays and four vehicles on display at the dealership. In addition, there is an electric vehicle (EV) charging station, in line with Hyundai's commitment to promote EV adoption and Andalan's commitment to serve EV consumers.
So far, Hyundai has released two EV models in Indonesia, namely the Ioniq Electric and Kona Electric. According to him, the opening of a Hyundai dealership in Bogor cannot be separated from Hyundai's move to release the Creta sport utility vehicle (SUV) at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2021, recently.
He believes, Creta can reach a wider market, because it enters the B segment SUV B which is quite big. The market response to Creta is quite good, seen in the high orders during GIIAS 2021. At the largest auto show in Southeast Asia, Creta's vehicle order letter (SPK) reached 670, the highest compared to other models.
"Currently, B segment SUV is one of the largest segments in Indonesia and Bogor is one of the target market areas. Bogor has great potential to become a market for Hyundai products," he said on the sidelines of the opening of the Hyundai Sholeh Iskandar in Bogor.
Raynaldi stated that Hyundai has prepared a series of new cars for the Indonesian market. In addition to the Creta, Hyundai will release B segment MPV next year. The two products will be produced at Hyundai's factory, Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java, which requires an investment of USD1.55 billion. Not to forget, Hyundai will also produce EVs at the factory.
Along with that, he revealed, Andalan Motor is targeting potential areas to market Hyundai's new cars, such as Bogor. He believes that the Hyundai market in Bogor will grow in the future, supported by the presence of a number of new models. Raynaldi stated, Andalan Motor prepared a number of promos at Hyundai Sholeh Iskandar. This promo focuses on the Hyundai Creta, which is now in the pre-booking period, before the car is delivered to consumers in 2022.
