BMW F900R, F900XR launched in Vietnam

The BMW F900R and F900XR 2020 have just officially landed in the Vietnamese market, imported from Germany, with prices ranging from VND 459 million (US$ 19,765) and VND 549 million respectively.
BMW Motorrad in Vietnam has decided to play big, with the launch of two new models of the Roadster F900R and the Sport-Adventure F900XR. Both will be on display and on sale at the BMW Motorrad showroom soon. With two Dynamic Roadster F900R and F900XR models in the Adventure Sport segment, BMW Motorrad in Vietnam is continuing to expand its product range for the popular mid-range segment.
The BMW F900R and F900XR both share a 893cc twin-cylinder engine producing maximum power of 105hp @ 8,750 rpm and maximum torque of 92Nm @ 6,500 rpm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox and electronic ride modes of Road and Rain.
Both models use the same steel pipe frame of the new F850GS model, and are also equipped with traction control, ABS Pro anti-lock braking system, active brake control system, control system Engine torque. Both models use plastic fuel tanks to reduce weight, with a capacity of 13 liters for the F900R and 15.5 liters for the F900XR.
Despite having the same platform as well as the engine, the F900R and F900XR 2020 version still have very different characteristics in terms of sitting position. Specifically, the XR model will have a straight sitting position, comfortable body design, large windshield suitable for long trips. Meanwhile, the F900R has a lot of speed priority, so the rider's position is quite steep, the body is shorter and the rear part is thinner and lighter.
Besides, the suspension is also a difference between the two models. The BMW F900R 2020 still uses traditional shock absorbers telescopic with hydraulic dampers for both front (stroke reaching 135 mm) and rear (142 mm). Both models share the same optional device as the Dynamic ESA electronic suspension system. Meanwhile, the F900XR 2020 uses a 170 mm stroke front reduction and mono-shock with 172 mm stroke at the rear.
Some of the same standard equipment on these two F-Series models include LED headlights, TFT-LCD screen with BMW Connectivity support, ASC body control system, Brembo brakes and other optional extra features, such as cornering assist light, smart key, quick up/down support, and emergency call feature (only for European market).
