Following the commencement of pre-sales in May, BMW Taiwan has officially launched the facelifted iX lineup, now comprising three variants: the iX xDrive45 Excellence, xDrive45 M Sport, and xDrive60 M Sport.

The xDrive45 Excellence, a newly introduced entry-level variant, is priced from NTD 3.38 million (US$ 117,000). The xDrive45 M Sport is available at NTD 3.68 million, while the xDrive60 M Sport is priced at NTD 4.88 million.

Powertrain updates and efficiency changes

The updated iX features changes to the powertrain. With silicon carbide inverter technology, the electric drivetrain now offers improved energy efficiency, contributing to increased performance and range.

xDrive45 specifications:

- Power output: 408 PS (an increase of 82 PS compared to the previous model)
- Torque: 700 Nm (up from 629 Nm)
- Acceleration (0-100 km/h): 5.1 seconds (previously 6.1 seconds)
- Driving range: 602 km (WLTP), an increase of 167 km

xDrive60 specifications:

- Power output: 544 PS (previously 523 PS)
- Torque: 764 Nm (unchanged)
- Acceleration (0-100 km/h): 4.6 seconds
- Driving range: 701 km (WLTP), up from 633 km

Exterior design and equipment changes

The facelifted iX includes exterior design changes. The xDrive45 variants feature a redesigned front grille with finer diagonal strakes and an illuminated BMW Iconic Glow surround. The new headlight assembly includes vertical daytime running lights and CityLight functionality for improved urban lighting.

The xDrive45 M Sport adds the M Sport appearance package, which includes:

- Aerodynamic M body kit
- 21-inch M alloy wheels
- Blue M-branded brake calipers

The xDrive60 M Sport includes:

- M Sport Advanced Package
- Blacked-out kidney grille and smoked headlamp and taillight lenses
- 22-inch M alloy wheels
- Red M brake calipers

Interior equipment

The M Sport variants include:

- M leather-wrapped multifunction sports steering wheel
- Matte dark grey and gloss black interior trim with diamond-patterned accents
- M sport seats with extended lateral support, upholstered in coffee-tanned natural leather
- Optional M Alcantara/Sensatec upholstery

The xDrive45 Excellence features natural wood trim and copper detailing.
