Bajaj Nepal has sharply decreased the price of its Bajaj Dominar 250 in Nepal.
HH Bajaj, the authorised distributor of Bajaj bikes in Nepal, has given the Bajaj Dominar 250 a much-waited price revision. Carrying the aesthetics of its bigger 400cc sibling, the Dominar 250 brings in the same charm in a smaller 250cc engine.
Bajaj Dominar 250 will be similar to its elder sibling. Try to imagine Dominar 400 but with a smaller engine and a few cost-cutting here and there. Bajaj Dominar 250 price in Nepal starts at Rs. 550,000 (US$ 4,170) for the BS6 and Rs. 567,000 for the BS4.
It is currently available in both BS6 and BS4 iterations, where the BS6 version costs less than the outgoing BS4. Previously, the Bajaj Dominar 250 was priced at Rs. 595,000. However, the recent price drop of Rs. 45,000 is a direct result of the friendlier tax policy on 250cc-400cc two-wheelers!
Interestingly enough, Bajaj Dominar 400, KTM 250 Adventure, and KTM Duke 250 also received a price drop a while back. Bajaj Dominar 250 follows the same design brought on by the Dominar 400.
It even gets similar features like the Twin-Barrel Exhaust, New Mirrors, USD Forks, and a Secondary Display. There is a difference between the two siblings, Bajaj's 250cc sports tourer comes with a lighter weight!
Interestingly, it comes with the same muscular design, aggressive looks, the same all-LED lights, and the same power-packed performance!
Bajaj Dominar 250 comes in two different colors: Canyon Red and Charcoal Black. Bajaj Dominar 250 is powered by a 248.77cc, Single-Cylinder, Liquid-Cooled, 4-Valve, DOHC Engine. It can generate a max power of 27 PS at 8500rpm and a max torque of 23.5 Nm at 6500rpm.
Moreover, it is mated to a 6-speed gearbox featuring an assist and slipper clutch.
Instead of triple-spark ignition, Dominar 250 will feature a traditional twin-spark configuration. It is a re-tuned version of the KTM Duke 250 engine.
However, it is tweaked to match its sports tourer appeal.
While the Dominar 250 follows both BS6 and Euro4 emission standards, there is no drastic performance difference between the two.
Nevertheless, the asking price will be the only deciding factor.
