Benelli launches updated TRK 502 models
Autocar India, 9 May '25
Benelli has launched the updated TRK 502 and TRK 502X motorcycles in India.
The road-oriented TRK 502 is priced at Rs. 620,000 (US$ 7,245), while the off-road-focused TRK 502X is available at Rs. 680,000.
TRK 502 range updated: key changes
Introduced in 2019, the TRK 502 range has remained largely unchanged until now.
For 2025, Benelli has introduced several updates to refresh the line-up. Both models now feature a new TFT display with offline navigation, smartphone connectivity, heated grips, and a heated rider's seat.
Safety enhancements include the addition of a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a slipper clutch. Furthermore, the TRK 502X now comes equipped with cross-spoke tubeless wheels, replacing the previous spoked design.
The road-biased TRK 502, which is fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, has a higher dry weight of 223kg.
In contrast, the TRK 502X, with its 19-inch front cross-spoke wheel, has a dry weight of 213kg. This difference persists despite the TRK 502X being fitted with a larger upswept exhaust, while the TRK 502 features an underbelly exhaust.
Benelli also states that the aluminium swingarm has been optimised for improved handling, although this has not affected the weight figures of either model.
TRK 502 range: engine specifications and pricing
Both models have a seat height of 800mm and a ground clearance of 190mm.
Mechanically, the motorcycles remain unchanged. They continue to be powered by a 500cc, inline two-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing 47hp and 46Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The TRK 502 is currently offered in a single black-and-white colour scheme and is priced at Rs. 620,000. The TRK 502X is available in white and green, with a price tag of Rs. 670,000.
Additionally, a limited-edition yellow variant with gold-finished rims is available for an extra Rs. 15,000. Prices across the range have been increased by Rs. 35,000.
TRK 552 unveiled overseas
It is noteworthy that Benelli has unveiled the next-generation TRK 502 range internationally, under the new name TRK 552.
This updated model features a revised engine with a modest power increase, a redesigned exterior, and additional features.
However, for the Indian market, Benelli has updated the outgoing TRK 502 range. It remains unclear when the TRK 552 will be introduced in India.
