Set to enter the Malaysian motorcycle market are four new models from the Chinese brand Cyclone, under MForce Bike Holdings. These are the Cyclone RX650, Cyclone RA600, Cyclone RE600, and the Cyclone RT3E retro scooter.
Pricing for all four models has yet to be determined by MForce, with the expected local launch set for mid-2025. Malaysian riders may be more familiar with the Cyclone name as KTNS. However, Asri Ahmad, operations general manager of MForce Bike Holdings, stated that the brand will be known as Cyclone in Malaysia going forward.
The Cyclone RX650 is a middleweight adventure-touring motorcycle powered by a liquid-cooled 650 cc parallel-twin engine. The RX650 is claimed to produce 70 PS at 8,500 rpm and 62 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm, with power delivered to the rear wheel via a quick shifter-equipped six-speed gearbox and chain final drive.
Suspension duties on the RX650 are handled by upside-down telescopic forks at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is managed by twin hydraulic disc brakes at the front and a single disc at the rear, with two-channel cornering ABS as standard.
The RX650 comes equipped with full LED lighting, cruise control, blind-spot detection radar, and front and rear ride-recording camera systems. It has a listed weight of 245 kg, a 20-litre fuel tank, and an 820 mm seat height.
Additional features include an adjustable windshield and a full-colour TFT-LCD display. According to available information, the RX650 is expected to arrive in Malaysia in May 2025, with an estimated price of around MYR 30,000 (US$ 6,770).
