The 2026 Geely EX5 has been updated with a larger 68.39kWh battery, increasing the claimed WLTP driving range in select grades to 475km, the model is now on sale.
Prices start at AUD 41,990 (US$ 29,800) before on-road costs for the Complete grade, rising to AUD 45,990 for the Inspire. Both variants are priced AUD 1,000 higher than previously.
The EX5 introduces a 68.39kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack across both grades, replacing the 60.22kWh unit offered last year.
The claimed WLTP driving range for the Complete grade increases from 430km to 475km, exceeding that of the entry-level Tesla Model Y RWD (466km) and the BYD Atto 3 Premium (420km). In the Inspire grade, the claimed range rises from 410km to 450km.
Both EX5 variants are powered by a single electric motor driving the front wheels, producing 160 kW and 320 Nm, unchanged from the previous model.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality were recently introduced through software updates for both new and existing customers. The interior continues to feature a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.4-inch infotainment touchscreen.
The two-variant range now includes a retractable cargo cover and a 240-volt home charging cable as standard equipment. Jungle Green, first introduced with the Geely Starray EM-i, has also been added as a premium paint option.
Compared with the Complete grade, the Inspire variant adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a power tailgate, front parking sensors, ambient lighting, massage seats, a 13.4-inch head-up display, and a 16-speaker sound system.
The EX5 is covered by a seven-year/unlimited-kilometre vehicle warranty, seven years of roadside assistance, and an eight-year battery warranty.
