Hyundai Motor Company has announced its global sales in November 2019 were 392,247 units, down 2.8% compared to the same month last year, when it retailed 403,368 units, claims the South Korean auto manufacturer in a release.
In its home market South Korea, Hyundai's sales slumped to 63,160 units, down 1.5% compared with November 2018 sales when it registered 64,131 units.
In the rest of the global market, Hyundai has sold 329,087 units, down 3.0% compared with 339,237 units sold in November 2018.
As the automaker claims, the new Grandeur, known as Azera in some markets outside of Korea, led the sales in its home market Korea following an introduction of facelifted model in November.
The Hyundai Grandeur was ranked as the best-selling model of South Korea last month with more than 10,000 deliveries in its debut month and it also recorded over 40,000 pre-order bookings. Apart from that, the all-new Sonata sedan also helped drive Korea sales together with its hybrid model.
As Hyundai further informs, combined sales of Hyundai's SUV lineup totalled 20,813 units in Korea and sales of NEXO fuel-cell electric SUV sales reached its monthly record of 699 units last month.
