The five-month-old alliance between Chery International and Hyundai Nishat's subsidiary, NextGen Auto, has led to the launch of its first retail model for Pakistan: the battery-electric Jaecoo J6 SUV.
The model launch follows the establishment of the partnership in February 2025, after Chery ended its collaboration with Ghandhara Automotive.
In February 2025, Chery concluded its long-term partnership with Ghandhara Automotive and entered into a new agreement with NextGen Auto, a subsidiary of Hyundai Nishat Motors.
The alliance is focused on introducing electric and hybrid vehicles under the Omoda and Jaecoo sub-brands, which produce New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), including Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs), and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs).

The Jaecoo J6 measures 4,406 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,715 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,715 mm and a ground clearance of 195 mm.
Two variants are equipped with 225/60 R18 tyres, while the highest-spec version is fitted with 225/55 R19 tyres.
