Kia launches all new Carens in Indonesia

As manufacturers continue to expand their regional product portfolios, Kia has officially launched the all-new Carens during its first participation at the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show for customers in Indonesia, with prices starting at IDR 319 million (US$ 19,000) for the Trendy variant, IDR 359 million for the Motion variant and IDR 399 million for the Signature variant, all on-the-road in Jakarta.
"The launch of the all-new Carens at IIMS 2026 is a strategic step for Kia in presenting products that are increasingly aligned with the needs of Indonesian families. Through The Next Chapter Kia and the new face of the all-new Carens, we want to offer a combination of comfort, flexibility, and modern design that is relevant to today's mobility dynamics," said Jong Sung Park, chief executive officer of Kia Sales Indonesia.
Positioned as a family MPV, the all-new Carens has been developed to cater to a broad range of daily mobility needs, from routine urban commuting to weekend family travel.
The model is available in a seven-seat configuration, as well as a six-seat option with a more premium and luxury-oriented character. This layout is intended to provide spatial flexibility to suit the evolving requirements of Indonesian families.
The Carens measures 4,550 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,708 mm in height, offering a balance between cabin space and ease of driving in urban environments.
Power is provided by a 1.5-litre Smartstream Gamma II four-cylinder DOHC CVVT engine, producing 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), designed to deliver smooth and efficient performance under a variety of everyday driving conditions.
As part of its ownership package, Kia is offering up to four years of after-sales assistance services, including towing, battery jump-start support, flat tyre assistance, emergency fuel delivery, and locksmith services.
The all-new Kia Carens is also backed by a seven-year or 200,000 km vehicle warranty, along with a 12-month or 20,000 km parts warranty, aimed at providing long-term ownership assurance.
