Maruti Suzuki unveils e Vitara with 543km ARAI range

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the e Vitara in its India-spec form.
The model is available with 49kWh and 61kWh battery options and has an ARAI-rated range of up to 543km.
Charging infrastructure details
Maruti Suzuki has set up more than 2,000 charging points across over 1,100 cities in India.
The company has partnered with 13 charging point operators (CPOs) to expand charging access and plans to establish a network of over 100,000 charging points by 2030 in collaboration with dealers and CPOs.
According to the company, a charger is available every 5-10km and can be located through the 'e For Me' app. The company also operates more than 1,500 EV-ready workshops and will provide doorstep service.
Powertrain and trims
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be available with 49kWh and 61kWh battery packs, both offered with a front-wheel-drive (FWD) layout. The 61kWh variant has an ARAI-rated range of 543km.
Three trims will be available: Delta, which uses the 49kWh battery pack, Zeta and Alpha, which use the larger unit.
Maruti Suzuki has stated that the e Vitara has received a 5-star safety rating from BNCAP.
The e Vitara will compete with the Hyundai Creta Electric, VinFast VF6, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6 and Tata Curvv EV.
