Modenas launches updated Elegan 250 EX scooter

The 2025 Modenas Elegan 250 EX scooter in Malaysia is priced at MYR 17,700 (US$ 4,000), an increase of MYR 703 from the 2023 price of MYR 16,997.
The scooter is available in two colour options: Deep Blue and Plain Grey. The listed price excludes road tax, insurance, and registration.
The updates to the Elegan 250 EX include a new windshield and LED front indicators for improved road visibility. The Modenas logo is now featured on various components, including the windscreen, handle cover, rear fender, speedometer, and ignition key.
Power is provided by a 250 cc, single-cylinder engine that complies with Euro 4 emissions standards.
The engine is EFI-fed and liquid-cooled, producing 22.4 PS at 7,000 rpm and 22.4 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Power is transmitted through a CVT gearbox and belt drive to the rear wheel.
Braking is performed with single hydraulic discs at both the front and rear, with Bosch two-channel ABS as standard. The front disc measures 260 mm, while the rear is 240 mm.
The scooter is fitted with 14-inch wheels at the front and 13-inch wheels at the rear. Suspension consists of telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.
A USB charging socket is located inside the front cowl. The instrument cluster includes a combination of analogue gauges for speed and engine revolutions, along with a monochrome LCD panel in the centre.
The LCD panel displays information such as the odometer, engine temperature, fuel level, voltmeter, clock, and engine service reminder.
The Elegan 250 EX weighs 198 kg and has a fuel capacity of 12.4 litres, with the tank located under the floorboard. The scooter comes with a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.
