Currently, all Nissan product lines are imported from Thailand and have a genuine 5-year warranty. Because it is a whole imported car, Nissan's car models in Vietnam have not really good selling prices. In return, Nissan models have the strength of fuel-efficient engines, the most prominent is Kicks.
In the B-size SUV segment in Vietnam, the Nissan Kicks e-Power is a rather special model thanks to its serial hybrid powertrain. More specifically, the Nissan model uses e-Power drive technology, including electric motors, lithium-ion batteries, frequency inverters, petrol engines and generators.
Nissan Kicks e-Power electric motor produces a maximum of 138 PS and a maximum torque of 280 Nm. The petrol engine is a 3-cylinder, DOHC, 12-valve, 1.2L capacity, producing a maximum power of 82 PS and a maximum torque of 103 Nm.
The Petrol engine does not act as a drive for the car, but acts as a generator to charge the battery. Meanwhile, the drive task belongs to the electric motor. This powertrain helps the Nissan Kicks e-Power operate like an electric car but does not need to be plugged in and is extremely fuel efficient. The urban petrol consumption of this B-size SUV only stops at 2.2 litres/100 km.
Meanwhile, Nissan Almera uses a turbocharged petrol engine, with a capacity of 1.0-litre, for a maximum power of 101 PS and a maximum torque of 160 Nm. This engine is combined with a CVT step-variable automatic transmission and has a fuel consumption when operating on the road of 4.5-litres/100 km. Besides the fuel-efficient engine, this B-class sedan is also rated quite well in terms of driving feel.
Finally, the Nissan Navara with a twin-turbocharger diesel engine, a fairly powerful 2.3-litre capacity. In addition, this pickup truck model is also equipped with a multi-link suspension system to help minimize the feeling of bouncing.
