Yom E Motors, the official distributor of Tail G electric scooters for Nepal, has announced that it will provide 100,000 km warranty on electric scooters for the first time in Nepal.

The company has announced a warranty of up to 100,000 kilometres on Tail G scooters.

Speaking at a program organised to give information about this, company director Sanjiv Shilpkar said, "For the first time in Nepal, we are going to provide 100,000 km warranty on two-wheelers. After testing the lithium iron phosphate battery used in our scooter for a long time, we are going to give a warranty of 100,000 km, then our customers will be able to buy and drive the scooter with confidence."

According to the company, the warranty is applicable for 5 years or 100,000 km whichever comes first. The company believes that such a warranty will dispel the illusion that changing the battery in the customer category costs a lot.

Stating that the lifespan of a scooter is usually 100,000 kilometres, Shilpkar said, "We have been providing service to satisfy our customers by not only providing scooters at an affordable price. In this too, we are going to give a warranty on the battery based on 100,000 kilometres or 5 years whichever comes first. This will greatly benefit the customer."

According to the company, the updated Tail G Lion electric scooter in the Nepali market has front visor, heel hold assist, wider tire, smooth acceleration, bright matrix LED headlamp, new telescopic suspension, new remote key and other features.

Tail G Lion has a 4 KW motor and a 3.33 KWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. According to the company, it can be charged up to 160 km once fully charged. This scooter can be fully charged in 3 hours at home.

The new version of Tail G Lion has features like Bluetooth connectivity, stereo speaker. Other important features include key-less start, disc brake, LED display, LED light, tubeless tires, anti-theft alarm, 5-step adjustable suspension, fast charging port, large under seat space.

Currently, the price of Tail G Lion is set at Rs. 333,000 (US$ 2,500). But on the occasion of New Year 2081, customers can get this scooter for Rs. 318,000 as cash discount of Rs. 15,000 is also available.

Apart from this, they will also get free helmet, 1 year full insurance, road tax.

The company said that every Tail G scooter customer will also get lifetime free service. The company has also arranged free roadside service within Kathmandu Valley.
