Toyota is set to launch the 9th-generation Camry in India on December 11th.
The new model will continue to be assembled using Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits. Built on the TNGA-K platform, the next-generation Camry is powered by a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol hybrid engine, paired with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT). The front-wheel-drive version features two electric motors, providing a combined output of 225 PS, while the all-wheel-drive variant adds a motor-generator on the rear axle, increasing the total power output to 232 PS.
In terms of design, the new Camry features a large trapezoidal grille with a sharp nose, complemented by sleek headlamps with integrated U-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and matching LED taillights.
On the inside, the Camry is equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster. Higher variants are fitted with larger 12.3-inch displays and a 10-inch head-up display.
Additional features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, a 9-speaker JBL audio system, and the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite.
