The vehicle is powered by Toyota's fifth-generation self-charging hybrid system, which consists of a 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder petrol engine (M20A-FXS), a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, and an e-CVT continuously variable transmission. The system delivers a combined output of 198 PS and 206 Nm of torque.
Official fuel consumption is rated at 21.8 km/ litre, with a full tank offering a claimed range of 784 km. The hybrid battery is covered by a seven-year or 100,000-kilometre warranty.
