Updated Triumph Tiger 900 range launched

After being displayed at the India Bike Week in November 2023, Triumph has launched the updated 2024 Tiger 900 range in India.
The updated middleweight adventure bike is available in two variants - Tiger 900 GT and Tiger 900 Rally Pro - priced at Rs. 1.4 million and Rs 1.6 million (US$ 17,000 - 20,000) (both ex-showroom), respectively.
As the name suggests, the 900 GT is inclined more towards road-biased touring whereas the 900 Rally Pro is made for hardcore trail. For 2024, the Tiger 900 range receives enhanced power, better fuel efficiency, and upgraded equipment.
More performance
The Tiger 900 duo is powered by the same 888cc liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC, inline 3-cylinder engine which now delivers a 13% higher output at 109 PS at 9,500rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 6,850rpm.
Furthermore, the engine retains the iconic T-plane crank configuration that ensures the iconic Triumph rumble from the exhaust. Triumph also claims that fuel efficiency has increased by 9%.
Added features
When it comes to features, the biggest highlight is a new 9-inch fully-digital TFT instrument console with updated graphics and a new Bluetooth connectivity with My Triumph Ride Connect app as standard.
The 900 Rally Pro variant additionally benefits from heated seats, heated handlebar grips, traction control, and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Further, Triumph has made some crucial improvements to make the Tiger 900 more comfortable in longer rides. The redesigned seats offer a more plush experience thanks to 20mm adjustability. The bikes get a new damped handlebar system which significantly reduces fatigue and enhances overall ride comfort.
In addition, the British brand is offering a wide range of accessories with over 50 genuine Triumph accessories divided into three packs- Protection, Trekker, and Expedition. The Protection pack provides essential protection for the bike, while the Trekker and Expedition packs offer tailored luggage solutions for extended touring or off-road adventures.
Upgraded hardware, electronics
Tiger 900 range offers distinct suspension setups for each variant serving the desired purposes. The 900 GT comes with a fully adjustable Marzocchi setup featuring 45mm USD forks and a rear monoshock unit.
On the other hand, the Rally Pro is equipped with Showa suspension comprising adjustable 45mm front forks and a rear monoshock.
The GT variant gets 180mm and 170mm travel in front and rear, respectively whereas the Rally Pro variants come with 240mm travel in front and 230mm in rear. There are four riding modes on offer as standard including Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-Road. The 900 Pro additionally gets two more modes namely Rider Programmable and Off-Road Pro.
