Arcfox to enter local market under GoAuto Group

Chinese brand Arcfox is set to enter the Malaysian market, according to the Arcfox Malaysia social media page.
The company has also launched its official social media channels. The BAIC-owned brand will enter the Malaysian market through the GoAuto Group. GoAuto Group's wholly owned subsidiary, Intro Synergy, was appointed as the distributor for the Neta brand in Malaysia in 2023. The group also distributes Higer and Yutong buses through GVT.
Previously, the Arcfox global website listed Malaysia among the markets where the brand would be present. The company also stated that it aims to focus on six regional markets and operate in more than 40 countries and regions.
The Arcfox S5, also known as the Alpha S5 in China, is a sedan measuring 4,820 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width and 1,480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. In China, it is available with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain producing 530 PS and 690 Nm, with a claimed 0Â?100 km/h acceleration time of 3.7 seconds. It is equipped with a 74.4 kWh LFP battery, which can be recharged from 30% to 80% using DC fast charging in 0.1 hour, or six minutes.
Among the crossover models, the T1 is a compact model measuring 4,337 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,572 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm. It is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels and has a luggage capacity ranging from 459 litres to 1,352 litres, depending on the seating configuration.
The T5 is a mid-sized crossover measuring 4,690 mm in length, 1,936 mm in width and 1,650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,845 mm. It has a ground clearance of 156 mm. In China, it is equipped with a 79.2 kWh ternary NMC battery that can be recharged from 30% to 80% in 18 minutes. The battery powers a single front-mounted electric motor producing 200 kW (272 PS) and 360 Nm. The model has a claimed 0Â?100 km/h acceleration time of 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h.
The Arcfox line-up also includes the Kaola S, a five-seat SUV featuring a sliding rear passenger door on the passenger side to provide access to the cabin. Images on the company's website show that the rear passenger door on the driver's side uses a conventional hinged design.
It measures 4,500 mm in length, 1,870 mm in width and 1,655 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. It has a step-in height of 340 mm. According to Arcfox, the vehicle has a total of 29 storage compartments throughout the cabin.
For the Chinese market, the Arcfox Kaola S is equipped with a 58.8 kWh LFP battery that can be recharged from 30% to 80% in 18 minutes. The battery powers a front-mounted electric motor producing 150 kW (204 PS) and 255 Nm, with a claimed 0Â?100 km/h acceleration time of eight seconds. The vehicle has a claimed driving range of 705 km under the CLTC standard or 578 km under the WLTP standard.
