New spy shots of the Beijing Auto Works Huansu S2, a new mini SUV that will be launched on the China car market in early 2014, debut as expected for the April 2014 Beijing Auto Show.

The Beijing Auto Works Huansu S2, also known as the Beijing Auto SC20, will cost about 70,000 yuan (US$ 11,500). Huansu is best translated as 'Magic Speed'.

A car with such a name needs a speedy engine and power isn't that bad: a 1.5-litre four-cylinder with 105 HP, good for a very neat 160 km/h.

The size of this 5-seat variant can be confirmed as well (there will also be a seven-seater): 4,210 mm / 1,720 mm / 1,735 mm and the wheelbase is 2,560 mm.

The Huansi S2/SC20 will be build in the city of Chongqing by 'Beiqi Yinxiang Automobile' a new joint venture between Beijing Auto (Beiqi) and the Yinxiang Motorcycle Group from Chongqing.

The joint venture also makes the new Beijing Auto Weiwang M20 mini-MPV that has been launched on the Chinese auto market last month.
