Now available in Malaysia is the 2025 BMW Motorrad R1300 GS Adventure, an adventure-tourer priced from MYR 150,000 (US$ 35,000).
Displayed at the Malaysia Auto Show 2025, the model range consists of four variants: the base R1300 GSA at MYR 150,000, the Triple Black and the Style GS Trophy at MYR 155,000, and the Option 719 Karakorum at MYR 165,000.
BMW Motorrad's Automated Shift Assistant (ASA), which allows for clutchless gear shifting, is standard on the Triple Black, Style GS Trophy, and Option 719 Karakorum variants. The base model R1300 GSA is equipped with a manual clutch lever and foot-operated gear shifter for its six-speed gearbox.
The R1300 GSA is powered by BMW Motorrad's 1,300 cc boxer engine, which has also been introduced in the R1300 GS, R1300 R, R1300 RS, and R1300 RT. This engine produces 145 PS at 7,750 rpm and a peak torque of 149 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
The motorcycle features four riding modes: "Enduro" for off-road use, "Rain" and "Road" for wet and standard conditions respectively, and "Eco" mode for improved fuel efficiency. Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC) with braking function and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) are included as standard.
Additional riding aids include Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), and Hill Start Control (HSC).
Optional equipment includes the "Riding Assistant" package, which features Active Cruise Control (ACC), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Change Warning, and Rear-End Collision Warning (RECW).
The RECW system alerts following traffic to a potential rear-end collision by flashing the hazard warning lights.
Standard equipment also includes Keyless Ride, tyre pressure monitoring, heated grips, and hand protectors with integrated flashing turn indicators.
Auxiliary lights and Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) with load compensation are also included. The R1300 GSA is compatible with a range of BMW Motorrad accessories via dedicated mounting points.
An optional adaptive vehicle height control system is available, which reduces seat height by an additional 20 mm compared to the standard system.
This option is intended to improve accessibility and handling, particularly for shorter riders. The fuel tank has a capacity of 31 litres. The motorcycle features an 870 mm seat height and a wet weight of 269 kg when fully fuelled.
It is equipped with a 19-inch spoked front wheel fitted with a 120/70 tyre, while the rear wheel is a 17-inch unit with a 170/60 tyre.
