BYD, in partnership with its sole authorised distributor John Keells CG Auto (JKCG Auto), has launched the BYD Atto 1 and BYD Atto 2 in Sri Lanka.

The two models were first presented at the Colombo Motor Show, held from 21st to 23rd November at the BMICH, and now form part of BYD's new energy vehicle (NEV) portfolio in Sri Lanka.

The Motor Show also displayed BYD's broader range, including models such as the Sealion 5, Sealion 6, Shark 06, Atto 3, Dolphin, Seal, and M6. The fully electric hatchback BYD Atto 1 uses BYD's Blade Battery and 8-in-1 electric powertrain.

Its compact size and lightweight design are intended for urban travel, with a driving range of 300 km on a single charge. The vehicle includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, wireless charging, and a six-airbag safety system.

The compact SUV BYD Atto 2 uses BYD's CTB (cell-to-body) platform, which integrates the battery into the vehicle structure to improve rigidity, safety, and handling.

The interior features a 12.8-inch touchscreen, voice assistant, ventilated front seats, and a range of driver-assistance features, including a 360-degree monitor, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping support.

The BYD Atto 1 and BYD Atto 2 are now available for booking in Sri Lanka. The BYD Atto 1 has a 5-star ANCAP safety rating, and both models contribute to the expansion of the country's NEV options.
