Sokonindo Automobile, the exclusive distributor of DFSK and Seres brands in Indonesia, has partnered with Pegadaian, a local financing company, to expand financing access for the DFSK Gelora E light commercial electric vehicle.
Cing Hok Rifin, Sales Centre Director of Sokonindo Automobile, stated that the signing of the cooperation agreement with Pegadaian also supports the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia by providing a flexible financing scheme.
The collaboration was formalised at the DFSK booth during the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025 exhibition at ICE BSD, Tangerang. The initiative is intended to facilitate access for consumers, businesses, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to obtain vehicle financing.
Through this partnership, Pegadaian will provide Sharia-compliant financing with a faster approval process, a range of tenure options, and a funding structure based on consumer requirements.
"This signing represents a step in reinforcing our commitment to support electrification and business development in Indonesia," Rifin stated on November 26th, 2025.
Holirur Rohman, Senior Vice President of Pegadaian Syariah, noted that the collaboration is part of the company's strategy to expand its financing portfolio in the automotive and electric mobility sectors.
Pegadaian operates 4,892 outlets across Indonesia, providing public access to DFSK and Seres vehicles.
"Through our Sharia-compliant financing programme, we aim to provide accessible and affordable vehicle ownership solutions, supporting the operations of small and medium enterprises across Indonesia," Rohman explained.
At the GJAW exhibition, DFSK presented its products, including the Gelora E, Super Cab and Seres E1.
DFSK's manufacturing facility in Cikande, Serang, Banten, operates using Industry 4.0 technology with 90% automated production processes.
The domestic component level (TKDN) of DFSK vehicles is 44%, reflecting the role of local suppliers in the company's production chain.
