German supplier Robert Bosch GmbH has signed a contract to supply in-vehicle infotainment systems for premium passenger cars to be produced by Jianghuai Automobile Co.

According to Bosch, the infotainment system will use Genivi 2.0 software - a standardized platform developed by an industry alliance to speed software development and cut costs.

Genivi, which has 165 member companies, is headquartered in San Ramon, Calif.

Bosch's China operations employ 30,200 people, with consolidated sales of 42.3 billion yuan (US$ 6.8 billion) in 2011.

JAC, of Hefei in Anhui province, sold 448,813 cars, trucks and chassis last year, down 4 percent year-on-year.
