GWM to launch all-new Ora 5 SUV in March 2026

Amid intensifying competition in the global sport utility vehicle segment, GWM has announced plans to introduce the Ora 5 SUV in Thailand.
The company is preparing to launch the Ora 5 SUV, its latest sport utility vehicle, equipped with the Coffee OS 3.0 operating system, with the release scheduled for March 2026.
Thailand will be the second country globally to receive the model. The 2026 Ora 5 SUV follows the GWM Ora Good Cat and is positioned within the premium SUV segment.
It features a new design language while retaining the retro styling associated with the Ora family. The larger dimensions are intended to support a wider range of uses, improve passenger space and provide suitability for daily use on urban roads and highways. The model will compete in Thailand's SUV market.
The Ora 5 SUV forms part of GWM's international expansion plans and is scheduled for introduction in multiple markets.
Developed under the "Born Global" concept, the vehicle underwent a global development process aimed at meeting regulatory and consumer requirements in various countries. The company states that the Ora 5 SUV follows its "GWM Global Quality" standards across design, engineering, technology integration and safety.
The model is built on the GWM ONE Platform, a global architecture designed to support multiple powertrain options under the company's multi-powertrain strategy.
These include hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), battery electric (BEV), fuel cell electric (FCEV) and internal combustion engine (ICE) systems. The platform is intended to allow flexibility in vehicle structure and support future product development.
The Ora 5 SUV is equipped with Coffee OS 3.0, an operating system used in GWM's premium vehicles. The system manages connectivity, driving-related information, entertainment functions and interior features.
The official launch of the Ora 5 SUV is scheduled for March 2026. The introduction will expand the GWM Ora product line in Thailand.
Following the presence of the GWM Ora Good Cat in the country's electric vehicle segment, the Ora 5 SUV has been developed for urban users seeking a sport utility vehicle.
