Omoda launches all-new C5, E5 SUVs, Jaecoo to debut in 2025
Top Gear Philippines, 19 Dec '24
After several previews over the past year, Omoda and Jaecoo have officially launched their initial offerings for the Philippine market.
Omoda introduced two compact SUVs, while Jaecoo is preparing for its debut in the first quarter of 2025.
Both brands have been actively establishing the necessary infrastructure and network to support their ventures. These efforts have been successful, with partnerships secured with several local banks and the opening of two dealerships in key urban centres.
The new dealerships, located in Pasig City and Cebu City, now showcase and sell Omoda's inaugural vehicles: the all-new C5 and the all-new E5. The C5 is powered by a traditional internal combustion engine (ICE), while the Omoda E5 features a fully electric powertrain.
Both SUVs are available in various trims and price points to cater to a wide range of customers.
Pricing and features
C5 (Petrol-powered):
- Lifestyle Variant: PHP 998,000 (US$ 16,900)
- Comfort Variant: PHP 1,159,000

While Omoda has taken the lead with its launches, Jaecoo is set to make an impact with its EJ6, an electric SUV designed for off-road adventures. The EJ6 was showcased at this year's Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit, signalling the brand's strong commitment to electrification. Specific details, including pricing and variants for the EJ6, are expected closer to its 2025 launch.
The entry of Omoda and Jaecoo into the Philippine automotive market marks an exciting development, offering consumers more choices in both the traditional and electric vehicle segments. With their competitive pricing and extended warranties, these brands are positioning themselves to make a significant impact in the local market.
