Bookings for the Perodua Alza M2 Edition, a unique variant of Malaysia's best-selling MPV, can be made at all Perodua sales outlets nationwide from April 1st, 2011.

Only 500 units of this special version will be produced, each costing RM 69,990 (US$ 23,099).

The Alza M2 was unveiled by ex-prime minister Mr. Tun Mahathir during his visit to Perodua in January and the 'M2' refers to the codename which was used when the project to establish Perodua was still top secret. Unique features of the Alza M2 are its special 'Midnight Blue' colour, custom leather seat covers and custom carpet mats.

"In conjunction with the visit of Mr. Tun Mahathir earlier as well as his significant role in setting up Perodua, we will donate RM 1,000 with each sale of the Alza variant to the Perdana Leadership Foundation, of which Tun Mahathir is the honorary president," said Perodua's MD, Mr. Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh, adding that the company expects to sell off all 500 units within a few months.
