Tan Chong launches Nissan Almera in Malaysia, raises target
Bernama, 31 Oct '12

Edaran Tan Chong Motor, the sales and marketing arm of Tan Chong Motor Holdings, has introduced the new Nissan Almera in Malaysia.

Tan Chong aims to sell 50,000 Nissan cars in the country by year-end, aided by the new Almera.

Executive director Datuk Dr. Ang Bon Beng said the company would like to position the Almera as the leader and best-selling B-segment, non-national sedan car in Malaysia.

The Nissan Almera has four variants - 1.5E M/T (RM 66,800, or US$ 21,900), 1.5E A/T (RM 69,800), 1.5V A/T (RM 76,800) and 1.5VL A/T (RM 79,800).

"The pricing is in line with Edaran Tan Chong Motor's commitment to provide affordable car ownership to Malaysians. We would like to emulate the success that has been received for the B-segment sedan across America, Thailand and China, which has sold 500,000 units worldwide," he said.

"We are confident that Nissan's Best Selling Global Sedan will also repeat this success in Malaysia. Nissan Almera is not only stylishly designed, but what really sets it apart from our competitors are the premium features it has such as best-in-class legroom, boot space and premium technologies," he said.

In addition, the first 5,000 buyers are eligible for free service up to 10,000 km, personal insurance coverage worth RM 75,000 and an attractive interest package, Ang added.
