VinFast has officially launched the VF2 in Vietnam, with prices starting at VND 188 million (US$ 7,150), including the battery.

It is the brand's lowest-priced vehicle to date. Customers who place an order before July 18th will receive an additional VND 8 million discount.

The VF2 is a passenger-car version of the Minio Green commercial EV, developed for private buyers. The compact electric hatchback measures 3,090mm in length, 1,496mm in width and 1,663.2mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,065mm. The cabin can accommodate up to four occupants.

Equipment includes LED headlights, 13-inch wheels, a 7-inch digital instrument display behind the steering wheel, and a four-way manually adjustable driver's seat. Instead of a central infotainment touchscreen, the VF2 is equipped with an FM radio and a two-speaker audio system.

Like the Minio Green, the VF2 is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 41PS and 65Nm of torque. The top speed is limited to 80km/h, while drivers can choose between Eco and Normal driving modes.

Power is supplied by an 18.3kWh battery pack, providing a claimed driving range of up to 210km on a full charge. The vehicle supports 24kW DC fast charging, enabling the battery to be charged from 10% to 70% in approximately 34 minutes.

As an entry-level model, the VF2 is equipped with a safety package that includes a driver's airbag, ABS, electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and traction control (TCS). Customers can place orders from July 15th with a VND 10 million deposit. VinFast expects to commence deliveries in September 2026.

Customers who place a deposit between July 15th and July 17th will receive an additional VND 8 million incentive. The VF2 also includes free charging for up to 10 sessions per month at V-Green public charging stations nationwide until February 10th, 2029.
