Yamaha launches XTZ 125, Serow 250 in Philippines
Malaya.com.ph, 5 Aug '14

Yamaha officially launched the XTZ 125 and Serow 250 in the Philippine market recently.

First showcased at the Yamaha International Show last month, both the XTZ 125 and Serow 250 are dual sports bikes that are built to take on city roads and on rough terrain.

According to the company, the XTZ 125 is a lightweight, high performance bike that features smooth drivability and reliability. It is also fuel efficient with an 11-litre fuel capacity. Optimised for going off road, the bike has a long suspension travel and adjustable rear shock. In order to aid off-road performance, the bike's front tyre (80/90-21) is larger than the rear tyre (110/80-18).

The XTZ features an HT steel frame and engine guard.

The Serow 250, on the other hand, is best suited for mountain trails, Yamaha says. The maximum turning angle of the bike's handlebar is 51 degrees. It has a short wheelbase (1,360 mm) and a tight turning radius. The bike also features a powerful fuel-injected engine. The Serow 250 also assures an easy ride with a low-seat height of 810mm. It has a fuel capacity of 9.8 litres.

The XTZ 125 is now available with a suggested retail price of PHP 81,900 (US$ 1,900) while the Serow 250 will be available in September with a suggested price of PHP 229,000.

The XTZ 125 is available in white or blue, while the Serow 250 comes in beige or white/green.
