BMW 5 Series facelift launched in India
BMW has launched the 5-series facelift in India. The facelift sees cosmetic updates and some additional features.
Exterior updates include a slightly more pronounced front grille, chrome surrounds for the front fog lamps, an updated front and rear apron, re-styled lower air intakes and slimmer, sharply contoured tail-lamps.
The side turn indicators are now integrated in the wing mirrors.
The updated BMW 5-series luxury saloon gets new-design alloy wheels and more paint shades.
Standard equipment includes Xenon headlamps and LED fog lamps. Adaptive LED headlamps are now also available as an option in the updated BMW 5-series.
The interior ambient lighting can be alternated between orange and white while the iDrive control screen comes with a track-pad on the control dial and also gets a chrome border.
The carmaker claims increased storage spaces on the inside and improved fuel consumption with the help of a function that disengages the power-train when coasting.
An added feature allows the opening and closing of the boot with a motion of the foot under the rear bumper.
BMW has discontinued the petrol engine range for the updated 5-series for India.
