Just over a month after The Covenant Car Company (TCCCI), a.k.a. Chevrolet Philippines, introduced to the local market the updated Trailblazer SUV with more powerful 2.5 and 2.8-litre engines, the company is now bringing the same power units to the Colorado pickup.

The news was shared by TCCCI marketing manager Mr. Mark Parulan to media on the eve of the Bangkok Motor Expo, where the updated Colorado will be first revealed to the ASEAN market.

So, from producing 148 HP and 350 Nm of torque, the 2.5-litre Colorado now gets 163 HP and 380 Nm, while the 2.8-litre unit now puts out 200 HP and 500 Nm from the current model's 178 HP and 470 Nm.

Philippine don't have to wait for long for the new and improved Colorado. Mr. Parulan added that it will be available at local dealerships by December.

A source from TCCCI even shared that the pickups are now being delivered to the dealerships, which means it could be available in a couple of weeks' time.
