November car sales down in Indonesia
Segment Y, 26 Nov '13
Chairman of the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), Sudirman Maman Rusdi, predicts auto sales this month will drop slightly to about 90,000 to 95,000 units. Bank Indonesia's decision to raise its benchmark interest rate to 7.5% has affected consumers. All companies have trimmed margins. With the strengthening of the US dollar, the ability of brands to offer discounts has decreased.
