The new Porsche Macan was seen testing in China for it's car market.

The Porsche Macan will debut in China for the April 2014 Beijing Auto Show and it will be launched in the China car market around the same time.

The China-bound Porsche Macan will be available as Macan S with a 335 HP 3-litre V6 and as Macan Turbo with a turbocharged 3.6-litre V6. The diesel version won't be available in China.

The price for the Porsche Macan will start around 600,000 yuan (US$ 98,500).

Last month we reported about rumors in Chinese automotive media saying that the Porsche Macan would be manufactured in China. Porsche has since denied the story but the rumors still persist.

The production in China would make sense, since it would bring the Porsche brand within range of a huge market now buying the locally-made SUV's such as the Mercedes-Benz GLK and the popular Cadilac SRX.

Furthermore, the Audi Q5 is already manufactured in China at the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture, so most of the necessary infrastructure is already there. We will, keep our ears open for more news.
