Scania trial runs buses using E95 fuel

Scania Siam, the Thai arm of the Swedish commercial vehicle major, is pushing for E95 (95% ethanol) fuel to be adopted for large-capacity buses. To that end, it has been running demonstration projects involving such buses using E95 as fuel. The projects are being conducted in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry with government agencies and the University of Technology Thonburi, Energy Policy and Planning Office, National Metal and Materials Technology Center, Pollution Control Department, Bangkok Mass Transit Authority, Petro Green and PTT, with the support of the Fund for the Promotion of Energy Efficiency and the Ministry of Energy.
