Toyota Vietnam is participating in the Vietnam International Supporting Industries and Manufacturing Exhibition (VIMEXPO 2026), marking the sixth occasion on which the company has attended the event as a representative of the automotive industry.
At the exhibition, Toyota is showcasing developments arising from more than 30 years of localisation and industrial support activities in Vietnam. The company is also highlighting programmes for domestic suppliers, including training, consultancy and manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
In addition, the company is presenting its multi-pathway approach to carbon neutrality, with Hybrid Electric technology forming part of that strategy. Visitors to the stand can learn about the operating principles of Toyota's hybrid systems and view the Yaris Cross HEV.
Speaking at the event, Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen said: "With the theme 'Connecting for Development', this is an event that Toyota looks forward to each year. It creates opportunities for businesses to meet, exchange ideas and expand cooperation, while also helping to strengthen connections across the automotive industry supply chain."
VIMEXPO 2026 is being organised under the direction of Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade, with the Industrial Development Support Centre and the Industry Agency serving as organisers alongside CIS Vietnam Advertising and Exhibition Fair Company. The exhibition is being held from June 11th to 13th, 2026, and is expected to attract domestic and international organisations, corporations and businesses.
Supporting local manufacturing and supplier development remains a component of Toyota's operations in Vietnam. The company also continues to pursue its stated carbon neutrality objectives.
Toyota Vietnam also plans to expand its localisation activities and modernise its manufacturing operations. This includes plans to establish the company's first Hybrid Electric vehicle production line in Vietnam, which could create additional opportunities for Vietnamese suppliers to participate in the automotive industry's value chain.
