Yamaha to launch Lexam in Indonesia in January

Yamaha Motor Kencana Indonesia (YMKI) will launch the Lexam underbone in the third week of January (2011), media sources have revealed. The Lexam will compete with Honda's Absolute Revo AT, which has been selling at an average of 3,000 units per month. However, sales of the Revo AT have dropped recently, with only 1,474 units being sold in November. A relatively high price of IDR 15.8 million (US$ 1,760) is said to be hurting the Revo AT's sales. One significant difference between the Yamaha Lexam and the Honda Revo AT is that the former's rear brake is operated via the left hand lever, while the Revo AT does it through the right foot lever.
