BMW Motorrad, BMW's motorcycle division, announced on 16th April, 2024 that it will launch the retro roadster motorcycle 'New R 12 nineT' and sports cruiser 'New R 12' in Korean market.

Both models are equipped with a 1,170cc shared cooling two-cylinder horizontally opposed boxer engine and are based on a newly developed integrated frame.

Unlike existing frames that were separated from front to back, no fixing devices are needed, giving it a neater and more classic appearance.

In addition, for the first time in the R nineT series, it is equipped with a shift assist device that can change gears in both directions without clutch operation. The shifting process is smoother than the existing manual method, improving driving stability.

The maximum output of the new R 12 nineT is 109 PS and maximum torque of 115 Nm. It supports three driving modes: rain, road, and dynamic.

R 12 has a maximum output of 95 PS and a maximum torque of 110 Nm. It provides Rock mode for dynamic driving and Roll mode for comfortable driving.
