Ducati to launch three new models in Indonesia in 2025
Kompas Otomotif, 25 Dec '24
Ducati Indonesia is preparing to introduce new motorbike models for 2025, including the Multistrada V2, Diavel V4, and Panigale V4.
Eja Donalsha, chief operating officer (COO) of Ducati Indonesia, announced that these models can be pre-ordered before their official availability in the country.
"The Diavel V4 will arrive in March 2025, while the Multistrada V2 is expected in July 2025," stated Eja on, 24th December 2024.
Regarding the Panigale V4, Eja noted that while it can also be pre-ordered, acquiring it may prove more challenging than the previous generation due to high demand in the Asia-Pacific market. Its launch is planned for next year.
The Multistrada V2 features Ducati's new V2 engine, mounted on an aluminium monocoque frame. Compared to its predecessor, the frame weight has been reduced by up to 18 kilogrammes.
Performance-wise, the 890 cc engine generates 116 PS at 10,750 rpm and 92 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm. Ducati reports that over 70% of the torque is accessible from 3,500 rpm, ensuring robust performance across the rev range.
The 2025 Diavel V4 introduces a new matte black colour option accented with yellow graphics and titanium-coloured details, enhancing its aggressive styling.
It retains the 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, capable of producing 170 PS. With an empty weight of just 211 kg, the bike achieves an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 807 PS per tonne.
The Panigale V4 remains Ducati's flagship sportbike. Enhancements to the front bodywork reduce drag by approximately 4%, improving aerodynamic efficiency.
The headlight design has been revised, offering a more composed appearance compared to the previously aggressive styling. The Desmosedici V4 engine now complies with Euro 5+ emission standards and is 1 kg lighter than its predecessor.
It delivers 228 PS at higher engine speeds (500 rpm more than before), with slightly reduced torque, optimised for track performance.
Prices for the forthcoming models have not yet been disclosed. For reference, the outgoing Multistrada V2 was priced at approximately IDR 700 million (US$ 43,400), the Diavel V4 at IDR 1.1 billion, and the Panigale V4 at IDR 900 million.
