The year 2012 was a turning point for Honda Prospect Motors (HPM) as the company posted record sale of 69,320 units - this is the highest sales number achieved in the company's history with a growth of 153%.

With the record sales, Honda has moved one position higher from sixth to fifth. The success of 2012 has directed the company to set a sale target of 100,000 units for 2013.

"Indonesian automotive market continues to grow, supported by the factor of economic growth and interest rates are positive. This year Honda tries to achieve sales of 100,000 units," said President Director of HPM, Tomoki Uchida.

In order to achieve the target Honda is planning to launch new variants of all of its existing models, along with expanding the production capacity, expanding the dealer network and introducing the new aftermarket facility.
