Taiwan is preparing to host the 2026 Taipei Auto Show, with organisers confirming participating brands and event highlights.

The exhibition will focus on developments in vehicle innovation, electrification, and new model introductions from both international and domestic manufacturers.

While most automakers continue to withhold details of their complete line-ups, Honda Taiwan has confirmed that the Prelude and ZR-V will make their debut appearances at the event.

Early bird ticket pre-orders will commence in October for the 2026 Taipei New and New Energy Vehicle Show, which marks the beginning of Taiwan's year-end automotive activities.

The event, held under the theme "Smart, Sustainable, and Mobility," will feature brands including Alfa Romeo, BMW, Citroen, CMC, Fuso, Honda, Hyundai, Lexus, Luxgen, Mazda, Mini, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Porsche, Suzuki, Tesla, and Toyota.

Although detailed exhibition plans have not yet been disclosed, some key exhibits have been announced. Nissan will display its Formula E Gen3.5 all-electric race car, alongside its e-Power electric drive system.

Local automaker Luxgen will showcase new energy vehicles, including the N7 and the upcoming N5, scheduled for launch in the fourth quarter.

According to a press release, Hyundai will display the limited-edition Venue Boutique, which was launched on October 1st.

Based on Hyundai Nanyang's "monthly new car" strategy, both the Inster (confirmed for November 6th) and the Palisade are expected to be presented, with the Palisade anticipated to draw notable attention.

Although China Mitsubishi has not yet confirmed its exhibits, industry observers expect the debut of the XForce compact crossover, positioned to compete with the Yaris Cross, HR-V, and Kicks.

Reports indicate that Mitsubishi will begin accepting orders on November 3rd, suggesting the model may be introduced at the Auto Show.

Suzuki's line-up will include the Jimny, while the eVitara, the brand's first all-electric SUV, is expected to be the main highlight.

Recently listed on Taiwan's noise test approval register, the eVitara will reportedly be available in 2WD and 4WD variants, both powered by a 61kWh battery pack.

Earlier this year, Honda Taiwan previewed its fourth-quarter releases - the ZR-V crossover SUV and the Prelude two-door sports coupé. The latest announcement from the Taipei Auto Show confirms that both models will debut simultaneously at the event.
